We love sharing our favorite Austin places with you, whether you are visiting us from afar or a local. Either way, keeping activities centered geographically sure does help the ATX wanderer. Our most recent posts on The Austin Nature and Science Center and Zilker Park are just jog away from the Umlauf Garden. This way you can cover much terrain, and keep in line with the outdoors activities.
Aside from pursuing this gorgeous facility, there are a plethora of events, specials and classes that you can enjoy.
Next Upcoming Event: Enjoy a day of creation with the Umlauf Garden’s Relief Printmaking Craft. This Wednesday the 26th, the Garden along with Little Green Press ATX are hosting a workshop for printmaking enthusiasts of all levels. Total newbie? No worries! Umlauf’s workshop is beginner friendly. Learn from the ground up how to empty the method of printmaking with carved linoleum. Because your registration fee includes admission to the Umlauf Garden, you’ll also enjoy pursuing the museum after your day of artistic endeavors.
By now we hope you know how much we love our yoga community, so of course we had to highlight the Umlauf Garden Yoga Classes held Wednesdays and Fridays at 10am. These hatha-inspired yoga classes are suitable for beginner through advanced yoga practitioners. Led by Brigitte Edery, participants will gain insight into overall health and wellness as well as how to approach living with chronic back pain. Classes are held outdoors whenever weather permits. Make your way to the Crenshaw Learning Center in the event of poor weather. No registration is required. The cost is $10 for members and $15 for non members. Please bring your own mat (or borrow one of ours!).
Hey locals: Do you have a favorite place to visit? Ask about our Read, Write and Ride option to get a discount on our Lockhart Ranch Ride or one of our private Austin Excursions.
Convenient to The Umlauf Sculpture Garden are Zilker Park, The Science and Nature Center and The Zilker Botanical Gardens.
