Make Time to Float the River in San Marcos

Located just 20 minutes away from San Marcos, we are a great stop for students at Texas State University, families in the area, or visitors coming from Austin and San Antonio.

There is so much to do in San Marcos.  The river is gorgeous, and there are multiple companies that will help you float your worries away with a tubing experience you’ll never forget.  Try Don’s Fish Camp or the Lion’s Club Tube Rentals after a great trail ride with Maverick Horse Stables.

We encourage visitors to bring a bathing suit with them for before or after their ride.  Check in with the San Marcos Tube Rentals for their seasonal availability.  The tube rental locations are 15-20 minutes away from our horse rentals, so it makes for a great and easy stop during your San Marcos Daycation!

The river boat tours with glass bottoms are spectacular.  Enjoy an educational and relaxing experience with your loved ones.  Delight at the marvels of our spring-fed river, with glistening water and a plethora of flora and fauna that will delight the little ones or nature enthusiasts in your group.

There are some wonderful dining opportunities in San Marcos as well.  The Root Cellar, The Patio and the San Marcos Cat Cafe are just a few fun places you can check out.

While the San Marcos courthouse building may not be as impressive as what we have here in our own hometown, it’s still worth the while to take a trip around the San Marcos Square.  Enjoy a multitude of shops.  Don’t forget to stop by The Paper Bear Company or take some time to tap into your creative side by scheduling a painting session at the local pottery studio.

It doesn’t really matter what time of year you’re visiting Texas, or even exploring your own home of Central Texas if your a resident.  We believe that Central Texas is the most beautiful place we could operate a dude ranch, and we are so happy to call this gorgeous facility, Home.

If you are looking for more activities in San Marcos, or more things to do in the area, please ask.  We love to act as your local tour guide, and give you an idea on where to go, what to eat, and what to see and do while you’re visiting with us.  Happy trails, y’all!
