Halloween is in the air

Greetings Friends,

The weather is getting cooler, and that makes the call of a robust country bonfire a bit more enticing.  Can you hear the crackling of the fire?  If your kiddos are bananas about roasting hot dogs over the open flame (and I mean, really, who isn’t?), then you won’t want to miss our “First Annual Lockhart Halloween Bash.”

This year, Maverick Riding has paired forces with Spoaks Motopark of Flying H Ranch to provide free family activities for the community.  We’ll have a bouncy house, face painting, an arts&crafts table, pony rides and of course, an appearance by a unicorn or two… or three.  Add a costume contest open to the public with a CASH PRIZE and you’ve got a recipe for fun.  If you’d like more information, take a look at our Saturday October 28th Schedule.  Exact times may vary.

(Haz clic aqui para informacion en espanol sobre el festival de otono.)

We’ll have full-length rides scheduled as usual at 10am and 1pm.  After that, Maverick Riding will be providing pony rides and horse demonstrations for free.  Come introduce your children to the horses, and see how they feel about climbing up in the saddle.  Maverick’s is delighted to cater to your child’s needs.  If you have a non-English speaker, a child with physical or socio-emotional challenges, let us know.  We have worked with a wide range of learning styles.  This has given us a dynamic approach that many children draw enormously positive experiences from.  Can you hear the leaves cracking as your horse plods along a wooded trail?  Can you smell the crisp fall air?  Can you feel the swaying of the horse’s motion beneath your body?  Come to 2017 Fall Community Day and learn about how horses are used to help children from all backgrounds.

Come dressed up if it suits you!  Either way, enjoy taking photos with our

official unicorn, Maverick, and his unicorns in training: Ghost and Cremella.

Has your little one been horse crazy since he or she could point?  When you’re the parent of a horse enthusiast, you might not know where to turn to.  We’ve worked with lots of parents to create private and group sessions that are customized learning experiences.  Do you have an idea about a unique horseback riding class?  Let us hear it!
