Fall Break Camp

Tis the season to get cooler.  Well, kind of.  At Maverick Riding Facility, we love the great outdoors.  We also understand that not all children have the opportunity to be outside for great periods of time.  We believe that “Nature Deficit Disorder” is a real thing, and our passion for sharing our family style ranch life with your kids is a big one.

If you are interested in hearing what types of fall camp programs we have, please contact us for more information.  In the past, we have offered multi-half day options, full day and full week horseback riding lessons with bunking options available “AirBnB style” at our family home.

Camp is an opportunity for horseback riding students to not only get out to enjoy the horses, but also to learn what it really takes to keep horses healthy and keep a horse ranch running.  We believe that children who are interested in learning to ride benefit from understanding what it takes to make a ranch run, and so we take a three-fold approach to summer camp alternatives.

Equestrians of all skill levels will love our approach to riding.  The scenery is unbeatable, and the variety of horse breeds and colors we have keeps the little horseback riders coming back for more.  During camp programs, students learn how to care for horses, care for gear and pastures, and of course how to ride.  Mounted sessions range from bareback, vaulting and English and Western riding fundamentals.

We love to get creative.  If you think your community has a special need, don’t hesitate to reach out to us with a program idea.  We can coordinate with you to custom create a camp session that will be memorable, engaging, educational and fun.

Our programs emphasize horse and rider partnership, safety on the ground and in the saddle, and the importance of being present in the moment and aware of your own thoughts and feelings.  Take a look at our “General Services” page for more ideas about summer camp programs we’ve offered in the past, or call us today for more information about adult horse camp, children’s horse camp, overnight camp and more!  We are located 20 minutes south of Austin and 20 minutes east of San Marcos.

Thanks and Happy Trails!
